30Sep16 Wales

Well, what a great Welsh Wales Weekend we had ..!! All 10 bikes (and 3 pillions) arrived safely in Merthyr Tydfil on Friday evening after a scenic route covering some 134 miles. Once settled into our rooms, it was off for food and beer. This was followed by 10-pin bowling and where Alan spotted some arcade motorbike rides - well of course we had to dress up and have a photo (albeit a slightly blurry one).

MUFO on the Saturday was in the rain, however there was sunshine inbetween the showers. The Rabble set off through Talybont-on-usk, passed Brecon for the first stop in Llandovery when disaster struck..!! Bryan realised he had a broken radiator so it was the end of the rideout for him and Colleen. Luckily the bike was recovered within 30 minutes and Bryan & Colleen were taken back to the hotel. The rest of the Rabble continued on, riding up to Builth Wells for lunch. Then off through Rhayader, around the Elan Valley, back home through Brecon, Senny Bridge, Abercaf and back to Merthyr, covering 173 miles, taking in some of the stunning Welsh scenery. After almost a whole day riding, the intrepids arrived back ready for more beer. A wonderful evening was spent eating and drinking before falling into our beds.

Sunday was gloriously sunny and after another hearty breakfast, it was on the road and back home, this time going via Gloucester and covering 169 miles. A superb weekend .... well done Nigel & Martin. Some of the evidence can be seen below ....
