Cock & Bull 4
Once again the weather gods smiled on our annual gathering with plenty of sun for the weekend. It was great to see some new faces this year, and equally great to see some old ones. (And I don’t mean Geoff’s....)
As always, the weekend commenced on Friday with plenty of banter whilst erections were taking place, we even had our very own Pizza Hut on site........
Friday night is karaoke night, and the Wilts Branch were the stars of the show with Chris doing a passable impression of The Wurzels and Glyn demonstrating a fondness for Two Little Boys....
Saturdays ride-out took us first to Hurley for the compulsory food stop although the natives looked slightly bemused when a load of dodgy looking bikers turned up.
Step away from the leftover cookies!
Once we’d filled up on tea and cakes, it was time to head to Windsor with Maria getting her knee down on the way out of the village. (Make that knee, elbow, wrist, head......)
Worzel had arranged some private parking in town, so many thanks to Windsor Council for being so accommodating. As usual food was first on the agenda so various eateries were invaded for fish & chips and ice cream.
We weren’t invited in for coffee......
Following a wander round the town we headed back to base camp for the fun and games. Bog-seat bowling and the wet sponge games went down well, with a few damp ladies being the result.
Our charity auction on Saturday night once again demonstrated the generosity of the HOC’ers with a fantastic amount raised for Naomi House. A huge thanks to everyone that donated items, and an even bigger thanks to everyone that dug deep to bid for them.
Following the auction, we were brilliantly entertained by a great band –Too Old To Die Young, who kept us dancing till late.
I’m sure everyone will agree, it was a fantastic weekend, and The Rabble look forward to doing it all again in 2014.
