Cotswolds Day Out 18th July 2010

Well, what a turnout for today's rideout - 17 bikes with a total of 24 eager riders/pillions.  After leaving our usual MUFO we headed for Peartree Services to re-group.  Weather was not too kind at this point but spirits were high.  After leaving Peartree we headed onto the A44 to Evesham going through Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-the-Marsh and stopping at the Broadway Tower for coffee/cake - lots of it!!  Off next to Toddington and the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway for lunch at the aptly named Flag & Whistle cafe which of course had to be followed by a beautiful hand-made Italian ice cream (or two!).    After leaving here we headed onto the B4077 to Stow-on-the-Wold and onto to the village of Burford where of course more tea/coffee/cake/ice-creams were had.  Time to head home and off back to Peartree Services to re-group and arrange routes home for those not returning to Reading.  It was a fantastic day with many stunning views of the countryside.  I am sure there will be a re-run again perhaps next summer.
