Thursday Night Trundle to Portsmouth for Fish & Chips, 01.07.10
After meeting at The Swan for 6.30pm, 12 bikes headed off to Portsmouth, through Spencers Wood, Hook and then onto the M3/A3. Dave & Diane joined us as we crossed the M3. We eventually all arrived at the sea front by the funfair and walked 'the chain' along to Spice Island for some superb fish and chips. It must have been a bit of a shock for the restaurant to suddenly be inundated by 15 hungry bikers! 8.30pm and it was time to walk back to the bikes and start the journey home with full bellies. It went well to a point ..... and then, as per Reading HOC tradition, we ended up in all directions !!! On a positive note, everyone got home - eventually!! Despite that, it was a glorious evening and a great time was had by all.
