Thursday Trundle 07 April 2011

With such lovely weather it was great that 8 bikes turned up for the first Thursday Trundle of the year, although Tom turned up just as we were about to set off! Taking a right out of the BP garage, Bryan led us off along the B3349, through Spencers Wood then Risley. Taking a right we crossed the A33 heading towards Stratfield Mortimer, passed Wokefield Park Golf Club, onto Grazely, Goddards Green, passed Aldermaston then onto the B3051 and headed towards Kingsclere. At the junction with the A339, we headed right towards Newbury calling in at The Diner for a bite to eat and some refreshments. The milkshakes are to die for !! So is the food - just ask Bob 'I'm only having a coffee but eats a full breakfast' Swift !!!! Homeward bound was taking a right turn out of the Diner towards Newbury but going through Thatcham where we had a tedious wait (twice) for the trains to pass through the station. Once onto the A4, we all set off individually towards our abodes. Where will the next Trundle take us? Tune in soon to find out.
